IES was engaged by Shoalhaven Starches (Manildra Group) to fabricate and construct 6 off 4 million liter above ground Ethanol and Methanol storage tanks at their Bulk Liquids Storage Facility in Port Kembla.
IES work includes off site fabrication of tank components and panels. Each of the six tanks consists of 8, 20m x 6m panels lifted into place and site welded prior to roof being fabricated on site and lifted into place.
IES is responsible for the safe works, complex lifts and all testing of the storage tanks.
The second stage of piping from the facility to the wharf is scheduled to re-commence in August ’25.
