Bass Point Quarry is a hard rock quarry owned and operated by Hanson, a major supplier of aggregates to the civil, industrial and commercial construction industries.
The quarry has received approval to operate out to 2044 and required additional infrastructure to continue processing of material.
Illawarra Engineering Services was engaged to construct two tertiary crusher buildings and one final screening building complete with feed bins, vibration feeders, chutes, screens, internal conveyors and transfer conveyors.
IES was responsible for the levelling and alignment of all buildings and equipment installed.
