The M4 East Motorway will comprise two new three-lane carriageways, generally beneath Parramatta Road, to connect to the eastern extent of the M4West Motorway.
Illawarra Engineering Services was subcontracted to provide an experienced team of supervisors and trades that could work alongside other work fronts of the project and carry out the installation of 139 ventilation fans and frames along 10 kms of tunnel. IES designed and fabricated the task specific equipment necessary to complete the installation successfully and efficiently, proving themselves to be a valuable resource. IES continued to assist in other areas of the project including the supply and installation of cable riser steelwork, pipework modifications, load testing of the deluge system, completions and commissioning.
