BlueScope Steel (BSL) engaged IES to install a new coil plate line that used stretch levelling technology and an automated pack line.
The project consisted of unloading (38) 40 foot containers, core drilling 1000+ holes for equipment installation, installation of the coil plate line including a 600T stretcher, installation of the automated pack line and stacking crane, site running 500m of hydraulic pipework and supports, platform installation, safe access guarding, and grouting of all equipment. On completion of equipment installation, IES was responsible for final alignment of all equipment working within tight tolerances, and assisted the final commissioning stages.
