The WestConnex M4-M5 Link Main Tunnel Works project involved the design and construction of a new motorway between the M4 East Motorway at Haberfield and New M5 Motorway at St Peters, including the entry and exit ramps to Wattle Street Interchange and St Peters Interchange.
Illawarra Engineering Services (“IES”) was contracted to design, fabrication, supply and install the tunnel ventilation support steelwork and transition ducts at the Parramatta Road Ventilation Facility and the tunnel ventilation system which consists of a longitudinal ventilation system with exhaust and supply ventilation points along the mainline tunnel and ramps.
